Govt of Ireland Postgraduates Scholarships 2024



Brief description:


The Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship Programme is a prominent project intended at encouraging outstanding persons to undertake postgraduate studies in Ireland and developing excellence in research. The Irish Research Council (IRC) administers the programme, which attempts to recruit great researchers from Ireland and throughout the world to contribute to the progress of knowledge in a variety of areas.
 
The scholarship encourages postgraduate research in a variety of fields, including but not limited to science, technology, engineering, mathematics, humanities, social sciences, and the arts. Applicants are invited to submit novel and significant research topics that complement Ireland's research capabilities and contribute to the country's economic and societal growth.

· European Union and all non-Europeans countries are eligible

 

III.        Level's/Duration of Study: 

 

  • Master's Programs
  • PhD Programs
  • Post-Doctoral Programs

V.        Scholarship Benefits: 

The scholarship will be worth up to €28,000 a year in any approved year and will include the following:
  • A Stipend of €19,000 per year
  • A fee contribution, including non-EU fees, of up to €5,750 per year
  • Direct research expenditures of €3,250 per year.
  • A stipend of €42,000 to €43371 per year (Post-Doctoral applicants)

 

VI.        Eligibility:

  • There are no age limits
  • Applicants must not have had two previous unsuccessful applications.
  • Applications will only be accepted in either Irish or English language.
  • All applicants will be required to complete and pass an eligibility quiz on the online application system
  • Must be the residence of eligible countries
  • Must have completed education

Potential candidates should carefully study the call documents to determine whether or not they are qualified to apply.
